Last weekend it was kind of crappy out. We've been talking about getting a membership (again ;-) yes we had one, even when we didn't have a muchkin) to the zoo (which includes the aquarium and botanical gardens). So we finally did it last weekend, since we weren't sure what else to do because of the weather, and so we went!! =) (I looove the zoo and aquarium, I would go everyday!)
She wasn't too sure at first! (This was at the open tank of sting rays, they were swimming by and splashing and she was on gaurd!)
But then she LOVED it! =D
She watched and watched and didn't want to move on!! (This is at the very front/beginning!)
Going through the aquarium.
This is totally not a good picture, but being the person that I am, I needed a picture of her first trip to the aquarium!!! (with me, because I knew I'd be behind the camera the rest of the time! ;-) ) So whatever. I'm glad I got one lol. Next time I'll know to get ready, and we'll try to get Kayden to look in the remote direcion.
She loved the jellyfish too!
Kayden size jellyfish!! =)
Doing their favorite game.
This turtle is so cool. He was laying on the bottom and woke up to go eat, and Kayden watched him sloooowly get up, and kind of swim, kind of float up to the top. lol.
Mr. Turtle going up.
And just a couple from the botanical gardens. Practicing ...
It was too much fun!! I've been trying to get us to get out of the house on the weekends, but it's hard when the weather is crappy. Welp, now we can go to the aquarium every weekend! Just kidding ;-).
Let's see ... what's new around here? Kayden is getting VERY good at sitting up. She's pretty much a pro ;-). At the moment she is rolling around by my feet, making lots of loud noises, and sucking on her toes, and watching Handy Manny, all at the same time. She's been teething really badly! She loves to turn on and off the light switches and is always trying to steal the remote or our cell phones. She's so funny how her little personality is starting to come out. When she is super duper tired, and I take her into her room, she will start to try to dive into her crib. It's the most precious thing, like "Oh ok! Yes, you sure can go to your crib!!" lol I think she is starting to learn what putting my arms out means (to me anyway--it means for her to put her arms up so I can pick her up), because I do it a lot when she is in her bouncer toy, or when I'm getting her up from her crib, and as soon as I put my arms out to pick her up she gets soo excited!! Yesterday she sat on the kitchen counter while we made the chocolate white chip cookies (see previous post). We took them to Daddy at his work to visit him because he wasn't able to come home for lunch. It was good to see his face light up when I took little muchkin in with some yummy treats. From what I hear, they were a hit ;-)
Dominic and I have been same 'ol. Staying busy in between Kayden, work (yes, I call KG my work now, it's a LOT of work!! but i'm not complaining!!!), cleaning etc, all the other biiiiiiz, and trying to get back into the motivation mode of getting house stuff done. Our goal is grass by August (for Kayden's birthday), and we still need to finish our bathrooms. And our gorgeous back room that we finally finished, sits, empty, and lonely. So I hope to someday, somehow, soon, figure out what we're going to put in there, and put it in there. But we'll see. Time is flying by. I can't believe Kayden is a whole SEVEN months TMR!!! Ahhhh my little baybay!!! And that means only 5 more left for grass ... uh oh! I better go! haha!
xo =)
