Kayden turned O.N.E.!
First of all, I can't believe it. Second of all, I can't get over it.
.. But I won't even go into that because I could go on and on .. but she'll still be one, so we'll just get to it =).
Daddy was able to take the day off, so that was very fun and special!
We started off with some special snuggles and games in mommy & daddy's bed. She loves to play in our bed. We get a kick out of it too =). She's a riot!
My two lovebugs in blankies =).
HAHAHA!
We got going and took birthday girl to the zoo. We have passes, and haven't gone as much this summer as we have in the past years .. but have made it down there a few times. So far she pretty much was just happy she was outside and in her stroller, oblivious to where she was. This time, however, she seemed to have a blast! And so did we. We've been going to the Albuquerque Zoo for years, but they have never had giraffe feeding before. Just so happened that they had it that day, AND that we realized we were feeding them at exactly 12:13 -- the time Kayden was born! How cool is that?! =D We were very excited about it. All (week and) day we were saying, "Oh look, right now we were going to the hospital" (Wednesday lmao!) "Right now we were going into surgery" And then we realized that exactly one year later from when little Kayden was pulled from my tum-tum, she was feeding a giraffe all on her own! My how a year has changed things, and my how fast it has gone. I must admit though, feeding the giraffe's with my little family was a lot less painful then getting cut apart on a table.. ;-p
Happy Birthday Kayden Elizabeth!!!
Her little toofers =)
Our goal was to make her have the best day of her life so far. =D We were going to continue her day out, but after the zoo it was clear that she was ready for a nap. We were sure she would wake back up and we would go back out ... but we were wrong. She slept the whole day away and barely woke up at about 830 pm (I think only because she was hungry .. but still VERY tired). We gave her her first cupcake and she seemed excited for her very own sugar filled goodie, that she could make as big of a mess that she wanted to ... (this was seriously a first, and a treat .. we're not big on giving her a bunch of crap .. so we were excited to see her be pleased...)
However .. as soon as she had it all to her self .. it didn't seem so thrilling after all..
This poor girl was SO tired and grumpy .. and NOT in the mood for shenanigans!
But my trooper baby came around, as she often does, and realized that this was some fun stuff .. to at least play with..
Demolished! =)
Poor little thing was tired, and passed out to get rest for her party the next day. But I take that as a sign that she had a great day full of fun =)
Love you birthday girl - hope you had a wonderful birthday and I will try to make all of your birthdays wonderful! =) <3
